Thought of the Day - Calm Your Body's Response to Performance Stress by Putting Yourself in These Situations Whenever You Can

singing tips Jan 21, 2021

Whenever something is a new threat, your body reacts and gets into fight-or-flight-mode which triggers a faster heart rate, shallow breath, shakiness, compromise of posture, and a lot more.

How did I overcome this? By putting myself in as many of these exposed situations as possible. Video yourself, share it, take advantage of every small or big opportunity to get in front of people and speak or sing. Your body will eventually learn that there's no real threat.
While healthy respect is great and keeps you alert, fear destroys all of your control over your body.
